Dan Clays leads Omnicom Media across the EMEA region, incorporating the agency operations of OMD, PHD, Initiative, UM, Hearts & Science and Media Hub and all of OM’s specialist centres of excellence. The Omnicom Media network today comprises of around 10,500 people spanning 40 plus markets, driving growth for an incredible portfolio of the world’s leading global, regional and local brands, including McDonalds, Apple, Nike and VW.
Dan has been in the media industry for 25 years, half of which have been at Omnicom, leading OMD and then OMG in the UK before moving into regional role in 2023. He started out as a TV buyer before spending 10 years as a digital specialist ahead of a return to integrated media with OMD in 2012. Dan sits on the Omnicom Media Global leadership Executive team, reporting into New York.
In 2025, Dan served as President of the Cannes Lions Media Jury and has also chaired Media Smart in the UK since 2022, the industry’s non-profit initiative focused on improving media literacy among young people.
Dan brings a wealth of experience in navigating transformation—whether through technological disruption, evolving client expectations, or global economic challenges.
He has a family of three children, lives in London and is currently top of the OM Fantasy League.
